Domains, Devotion, and Prerequisites

I was looking at the Knowledge Devotion feat and noticed that you need any one knowledge skill at 5 ranks to take it. How does this interact with the rule that you can trade domains for devotion feats? Can you take it and use it? Take it but not use it until you meet the requirements? Not take it until you meet the requirements?

War domain has a similar issue with Weapon Focus. I think it's the intention to ignore the prereqs for this, but I can't find that ruling anywhere.

Well it specifically says you can trade it, but it doesn't discuss the prereqs, worst case is that you have to wait one level to do so, then you can trade for access.

There are no time constraints on when you can trade a domain for the associated feat. So, trade when you can satisfy the prerequisites.
