Turn Undead (Su): Sacred exorcists can turn undead as clerics do. If a sacred exorcist has this ability from another class, her class levels stack to determine her effective turning level.

If they stack for level, where does it say you get a new set of checks? I am not understanding this...

Assuming no Alternative turn pools, rebuking, etc...

Cleric 5 / Sacred Exorcist 2 makes turn checks as if he/she were a 7th level cleric.

"set of checks" isn't a meaningful game term. If what you meant were turn attempts, Sacred Exorcist doesn't give you a new pool of turn attempts, as you appear to be observing.

If you want lots of checks, then you need multiple different abilities. If, for instance, you had a cleric who rebuked undead, and then took Sacred Exorcist (can't remember if the alignment requirements allow this), then you'd have 3+Cha turn attempts and 3+Cha rebuke attempts. Or you could play an Azurin, and trade in your Turn Undead for Channel Incarnum, with the same effect.

A way to get both Turn Undead and Rebuke Undead without having to be evil is to be a Cleric/Death Delver.
