Warcraft 3 Frozen throne

Hey all! So i just recently started to play Warcraft again and I tried to get on the battle net and it needed to update. so it "downloaded" the patch and It claimed that i needed to restart warcraft but after i clicked reset i got this error

ERROR: unable to open source archive 'c:\documents and settings\administrator\my documents\alex\warcraft iii\war3x.mpq'

Any ideas on how to fix it?

You may want to delete your user name from the file path in your post.

A quick search indicates that re-installing or running it as an admin and patching manually should fix the issue.

Alternately installing in somewhere other than Program Files may fix the issue, depending on what version of Windows you're using.

I googled "unable to open source archive war3x.mpq" and came across a bunch of fixes you can try.

And as Oni said, including the entire path isn't necessary when you're asking about stuff like this, just the filename.
