Hey, Playground.

I saw an awesome picture whilst browsing the Internet, and it made me really want to create a character around it for a highly optimized campaign. I will link the pictures, and I was just wondering if anybody had any suggestions on classes, etc. for this concept.

Thanks a lot.

Warblade/Crusader/Master of Nine looks like a good crack at the idea. Toss on a level of Cloistered Cleric then go Ruby Knight Vindicator to finish out the build.

Gonna have to use flaws and Otyugh Hole Chaos Shuffle to get all those feats though. Man Master of Nine needs a ton.

Other than that I say it fits the Concept great.

As far as I can tell, its just a giant-sized warrior (comparing the man with the corpses on the ground) using a Warhammer (or something similiar) in red armor, and various other weapons lying around.

Just find a way to get a non-weapon-specific giant warrior, and buy red armor and weapons for him, and you're done. Psychic Warrior with expansion if probably the simplest way.

Unless you want this guy to be able to do something specific in particular.

He's bigger than normal, so let's say Half-Minotaur or possibly Half-Fiend (Goristro) (http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/we/20060630x&page=1) or even both and be huge size. Half-Fiend can be gradually gained (http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/sp/20031010a) and the levels don't have to be taken consecutively (http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/sp/20030824a), though you'll have to adapt the savage progression if you adapt the template (example (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=234089#4)). As long as you only gain one point of level adjustment or one savage progression level at a time, it can be bought off (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/variant/races/reducingLevelAdjustments.htm) three levels after gaining it. So start out with Half-Minotaur (LA +1), at 3rd level buy it off for 3k xp, gain one Half-Fiend level, after three more class levels buy it off for 6k xp, gain the next level of Half-Fiend, buy that off three levels later, etc. Get an Item Familiar (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/variant/magic/itemFamiliars.htm) and the 10% xp bonus along with getting more xp per encounter for having a lower ECL than the rest of the party will make you catch back up rather quickly.

Use a Greathorn Minotaur Greathammer from MM4, it's a two-handed exotic weapon with a natural 19-20/x4 threat/crit. Put that on a Warblade or Crusader or similar or even some sort of gish build and you should be fine.

Sorry, I should have mentioned that my goal for him is to hit stuff -really- hard. Thanks for all of the suggestions thus far.

Well Power Attack/Leap Attack combo of course

He looks goddamn terrifying. Maybe a goliath dungeonscrasher with he standard loadout (knockback, improved bull rush, knock down, improved trip, shock trooper, power attack, etc).

as for the armor, maybe consider red dragonhide?

I'd make him a Half-Orc with a Major Titan Bloodline. Maybe something like

Barbarian 1(With Whirling Frenzy and Spirit Lion Totem)/Crusader 1/Warblade 1/Half-Orc Paragon 3/Berserk 1/Frenzied Berserker 10/Bloodline 3

Grab your Gargantuan Warhammer, enter your Rage, Frenzy, Whirling Frenzy, and Battle Fury, and kill everything around you.

Absolutely must have either Warhulk levels or Intimidate ranks. (probably the first)

it looks like he's wielding a great mace. and the background for the drawing (based on the symbols on the guidons) is that he's a warrior/champion of khorne from games workshop's warhammer fantasy universe (maybe 40k, but the equipment doesn't quite fit). if that's the case, an axe fits the theme even better, as in warhammer khorne is the god of bloody slaughter and a collector of skulls. they use axes because that was man's first manufactured weapon. but yeah, back to the archetype. barbarian is a great addition (and rage/whilrwind/pounce are good mechanics), and really fit into the aesthetic of the crazed bloodthirsty combat monster.

Looks like there is some Bone Knight in there.
