Assuming that you're talking about magic items, and that you lack other resources, the two major options are the cape of the mountebank (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/magicItems/wondrousItems.htm#capeoftheMountebank), and the cloak of mysterious emergence (DrM, 93). The former costs 10,080 GP, and gets you a 760 foot dimension door once a day, and the latter costs 13,000 GP, and gets you a 120 foot dimension door three times a day, and if you expend all three charges, you instead get a personal 120 mile teleport. I'd recommend the latter, as it's not too much more money, and it's a much better effect.

actually im talking specifixally about classes / racial templates. by 'cheapest' i mean fewest levels, by soonest i mean lowest ecl.

Shadow jump is fine too.

I was really hoping this was gonna be about an anthropomorphized living spell.

Ditto what Inferno said.

Tritto. Is there a way to change living spell's type from Ooze to Animal so it can get antropomorphic?

Sadly, I don't think there's any way to give something the Animal type that doesn't already have it. You can probably get to Magical Beast, but that's as close as you can come I think.

Would aspect of the wolf help? It gets you a type change to animal, but it's probably not useful for things like this.

I'm not familiar with it. What is it and where's it from?

It's a first level druid/ranger spell in the spell compendium, page 16. It makes you a wolf, type change and all, for 10 minutes/level. It's ostensibly a decent early game buff, but it's much better as an enabler for animal based shenanigans of various kinds.

Ah, no, that won't help, as anthropomorphic is essentially inherited, not acquired - pretty sure an animal can't become anthropomorphic, it has to be born so.

Ah well. I suppose that not every problem can be solved by repeated application of aspect of the wolf. Just most problems.

No problem can't be resolved with correct Wish...

Wish can change types and give templates as per Savage Species, though it falls under "greater effects" and may not work. So you might be able to have a living spell gain the Animal type and then the anthropomorphic template.

A cursed item can have an ability as a drawback that changes a bearer's race or kind.

Yes, but it also stops being a living dimension door then. Also, it doesn't help us make it anthropomorphic.

Be careful how you name your thread, kids.

Totemist 1 can grant dimension door at will, as long as you don't want to teleport more than 10' or 20' or so. Shape the Blink Shirt.

Or you can just take the Shape Soulmeld feat, with no class level required at all.

RAW, no-- you need to be either a Shadowdancer, cast Dimension Door, or have Dimension Door as an SLA. The Warlock's invocation probably doesn't technically count, either.

RAI? Probably any form of teleportation shouldwork, and the Shadow Jaunt line fits better than most, but ask your DM.

Actually, it does in Pathfinder! (Since there's a spell that can turn an animal anthropomorphic.) But PaO probably doesn't work like that in PF, so it's a wash.

I've been reading too many CharOp posts. I saw this and my first thought was that you should share spell Chaos Shuffle your familiar to pick up this feat.
