Is there a way to make a personal range spell into a touch range(or any other non-personal range) spell?

Time Stop is the spell in question, in case it matters.

Pretty sure I've seen this question around here a few times before (curse this forum for not having a proper Search-engine).

In short; there are some tricks and hoops to make it happen, but in general the Personal-range spells in particular are made that way to be "balanced".

First one I can remember now to work around it is the Spellguard of Silverymoon prestige class (Player's Guide to Faerun), which allows you to choose a person as your "charge" and you may cast Personal-spells on that target as a Touch-spell.

Two that come to mind are share spell, with animal companions. And a pathfinder alchemist with the infusion discovery can allow others to use personal extracts.

There's a feat that makes your spells also do some healing. This will make it qualify for spellguard's ability. Try googling Team Solars to see how good/bad it could go.

Here's a teaser...Magic Jar.

Does the personal range spell stick with a body or stick with the soul?

Unfortunately, spellguard limits you to spells that increases AC, saves, or HP in some way (healing, temp HP, etc.). Master specialist lets you cast personal and emanation spells on other people by touch, but that doesn't help with time stop.

That's why you get the Magic of the Land feat, and cast/scroll Acorn of Far Travel depenfing on circumstances.

Huh. That's awesome.
