Airships useful for transporting large quantities of cargo all over Khorvaire. They are also used as pleasure barges for the wealthy. During the Last War, airships filled the skies, raining down soldiers and magical destruction. House Lyrandar holds the airship monopoly, only allowing a few nations to have airships of their own.

There is an exception, however. A battered airship called Firefly flies free from any allegiances, working under their crew's own set of morals.

Getting such a ship into Sharn - Khorvaire's most populous city, perhaps the most populous city in Eberron - is a bold move for a small crew. House Lyrandar has power everywhere, but it's specially strong in Sharn. However, if you can make it in Sharn, you can make it anywhere.

It's not like it's the first time the Firefly visits Sharn. As the ship approaches the city of towers, one wonders if it will be the last.

Pippington walks onto the deck, his rifle in hand. He grabs the rigging for support, places a foot on the rail, and looks down towards the city below him.

Andras moves purposefully about the deck, checking the steering pins and docking mechanisms to make sure the ship is prepared to be docked.

Jaina stands at the wheel, one hand idly keeping the ship in control as it sails into the harbor.

"Hey! Pippington! Don't fall over!"

She jerks the wheel a bit, hoping to make Pippington stumble a little.

Ever stands on the Firefly's figurehead, whistling into the wind.

The Firefly reaches the airport in Sharn. Brides are paid, smiles are shown, hands are shaken. Looks like House Lyrandar won't be finding the Firefly tonight.

Night settles in Sharn as a bunch of big men unload the cargo. Nothing illegal, just alchemical reagents. Not the best job ever, but it paid the bribes and Sharn is a place of opportunity.

One such opportunity seemed to appear to Noeli. While running an errand at the airport, she spotted the free airship and their crew. For the crew, she looked like only an elf with wavy hair in a braid. What she represented, though no one knew at the time, was the beginning of a new destiny.

Noeli stopped dead and watched as the airship landed gracefully in Sharn's airport. She had been here many times, but in the two years she had lived here, she had never seen an actual airship land at the harbor. It almost made her want to run in fear.

During the war, they were everywhere. Many places she traveled to had airships decked out in many weapons and shining panels of armor. They were all so splendid and graceful... Since the war ended however, airships had become scarce. From what Noeli had heard, the House Lyrandar now holds sway over all the airships that traverse the skies.

Though this ship seemed ordinary compared to the ones in the past, Noeli couldn't help but feel curious. Did they happen to take passengers? She had never once ridden on an airship... maybe this was her chance. The people milling about the ship seemed to be mostly the crew...

"U-um...excuse me." Noeli addressed the clerk who had just helped her with her errand. "T-That airship... over there... um, do you know who the captain is?"

Pimpington has stood fast the whole trip. When he manages to stumble onto the dock, he admonishes Jaina. "You should wait until we are on land to kill me. Falling is just so inconvenient."
