Hey, my boyfriend is running me a solo campeign and I need to level one of the cohourts he's given me. He's a were-tiger barbarian lv6 currently. with feats: Alertness,
combat reflexes,
improved initive,
improved natural attack (bite claw)
iron will, uncanny dodge,
improved uncanny dodge,
multi attack,
power attack.

I feel there's little point in having him take any further levels in barbarian because he wont benefit from the DR. So I feel it's time to multi/preistege. But to what? I usually build mages. The other party memebrs is a Conjurer -the main character, wizard(4, master specialist 10, thaumaturgist 2) and an exalted bard (12, seeker of the song3 ) Combined with the bard the barabarian gets +8 on attacks and damage plus 8d6 worth of bardic music damage on top. We are playing an eberron game, and my boyfriend will accept any material minus pysionics and anything from the tombs books.
So suggestions? :)

First, consider the Lion Spirit Totem Barbarian variant. It fits well with the were-tiger style and give him Pounce instead of Fast Movement. Remember that in hybrid form he will not keep Pounce, rake and improved grab from his tiger form (sadly). The only way to keep it in hybrid form is to go Black Blood Hunter lvl 3 (Player's guide to Faerun p.177) but it from a different campaign setting. You may ask your DM-BF to re-fluff it for Eberron.

Your group seems to be around lvl 16 so, if you have enough charisma, your tiger-pet should be ECL 14. He is actually ECL 14 if afflicated (6 tiger DV + 6 Barbarian + 2 LA) or 15 if natural (same but +3 LA).
So for his next levels, seeing you have an exalted bard, i assume your group is good. You can consider Champion of Gwyfarhyn (or something like that, BoED) if you want a Holy-Murderer-Kitty.
If you want to max out his damage output, you should go Frenzied Berseker(CW). It's risky but one of you just need to prepare a Calm Emotions spell if things go wrong.
If you want to give him more flexibility or make him a awesome grappler, go for Totemist (wich work very well for guys with natural attacks, MoI). danzibr's Totemist Handbook (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=287304) has a lot of good suggestions for that.
For fun, you can Bear Warrior(CW) and have bear-were-tiger !

BTW, you give us your teammates classes but not yours. What is your character doing ?

Spirit Lion substitution, and go into Bear Warrior...that way he's a one-person spirit lion- were tiger-rage bear (oh my!).

I couldn't resist.

I'm the wizard. specialist, so enchantment, necromancy and illusion is a no go for me, my main trick is to summon things. And I can tell you now Grual does not have the will to be a frenzied beserker. He's a natural were-tiger. And he was taking down creatures twice his CR rating before we recruited the bard like three levels ago, which then grual was finally allowed to have levels, before he was just a lv1 barbarian were-tiger. And thus unfortunately is not overly optimized. My boyfriend has kept Grual at his creature's alignment. So a true neutral beserker. Which puts all the alignment requiring ones at a no go as well...
I'm debating whether to give him a few levels in fighter to get him feats he might need, grual doesn't use any weapons or armour, so something that boosts natural attacks would probably be the way to go.

I found this preistge class: warshaper

worth it?

2 levels of Warshaper are definitely worth it, 3 & 4 are debatable and the 5th level is most definitely not worth it.

Otherwise, YES ! Warshaper is great PrC for barbarian Lycanthrope (strange that it didn't come to my mind earlier) : immunities to stun and critical hit (and sneak attack), bonus to main stats, bonus natural attacks just for 2 level. The other levels are debatable. It also fits well with Totemist.

Just with two level of Totemist you can greatly increase the potential of your angry-kitty. (Since you didn't precise his base race, i assume it's a human were-tiger, so multiclassing shouldn't be a problem)
Take the Expanded Soulmeld Capacity feat and bind Heart of fire or Totem Avatar to your totem chakra to give him up to 3d4 fire or 3 regular bonus damage on each attack.
Shape the Blink Shirt (aka at will short Dimension-door) to give him more mobility, up to 30ft instant TP.
Shape Rageclaws and he will never give you up, even at -9 hp.

So i suggest getting 2 level in Totemist and go Warshaper 2. You may also want to dump your 6th level of barbarian and start totemsit already, since the lvl 6 don't give much.

he's already lv 6. you get DR at lv7 which doesn't stack so no point staying barbarian. xP I will have a look at Totemist, I don't know the class. :) but that does sound impressive. I've given my bard lingering song, so combined he can be doing 16d6, sonic and fire damage, 3d4 extra fire, I think +16 to hit and damage from the bard... And then next level of bard he can just start stringing out extra cold damage every turn on top.... I'm pretty sure these two NPC characters would make a normal GM cry...

That's a well optimized DFI bard you have here.

Since your kitty will get so many bonus damage, forget the damage bonus soulmeld and go for bonus natural attack :
Girallon Arms give you 2 bonus claws at 1d4.
Lima Belt give you 2 bonus feet claws at 1d4.
Displacer Mantle give you 2 tentacles at 1d4.
The other ones don't stack with your were-tiger attack.

Other soulmelds can gretly improve his mobility (flight, etherealness, tp) but comes at greater level (around 9).

And yes, Barbarian/Totemist goes extremely well with a DFI bard teammate !

The DM built the bard. So I can't be blamed for its ridiculousness. My boyfriend can't build anything that's not OP and ridiculous....
But that does sound good, extra attacks = extra damage! go silly scary were-kitty of doom~
