Alright, this time we have two Chatterlings, one in H2, the other in H7. They are attempting to ambush everyone.

Chatterling1:

By process of elimination, Duvall is standing in D5.

Alright, so the first Chatterling is hidden only from Duvall (he heard it though) and the second Chatterling starts completely hidden.

The second Chatterling charges from cover in H7 to F5 and attacks Scout:

Yay, even flatfooted, that missed.
Anyway, Eric will attempt to entangle the one in H2
Standard: Manifest Entangling Ectoplasm
Ranged Touch Attack:[roll0] target is flatfooted from not acting yet

Move action: Draw crossbow

Also, for a character based on speed, The Scout tends to go last quite a bit...

Just so you are aware, the ectoplasm was a touch attack, against flatfooted. Assuming this thing has no Deflection modifier to AC, that should be against a 10. Things can still go as they are, just thought I should point that out.

Unless it wasn't flatfooted, in which case ignore this. Edit: or it came pre-buffed with something we aren't aware of. In both cases, I just look like a rules-lawyer-y ****.

It's a small creature, not medium, so 11. It's also got a +2 cover bonus from the tree. I probably should have made that explicit.

Well, now I am at least a more educated ass.
Anyway, the Scout, annoyed by this thing in his face, moves back to C5 while drawing his bow, and fires.

Will attempt a Tumble check to not provoke(1 threatening creature, no terrain modifier:DC15)

Entangling Ectoplasm against chatterling 2 just to really shut it down

I would have asked about cover, but it never came up last time we used this map, so I didn't think it was important. It would perhaps make it easier if everyone's positions were marked on the map, but I don't know what way you go about making them, and I don't know of any easier way myself.

Edit: my god, I just cannot make a good roll today...

Chatterling2 has just been taken out by Scout's arrow.

Eric used 5pp. Scout used a few arrows and some move-actions. Nothing else of value was used.
