View Full Version : need opinion about this homebrew variant of the class magister (pathfinder)

i was trying to make a character something more evil and combat oriented version of the magister (PATHFINDER GAME) kinda like a warlockish version of magister for an adventure, i need some insights to see if the character got too OP compared to the original version... so here we go:

Name: Apostle/Warlock/* (whatever)

Alignment: Any evil, * gain her powers from evil god or evil god that has dragon or undead domain or bloodline or devils or demons or daemons, oni or rakshasa

Hit Die: D6

Base attack bonus: cleric type

Class Skills: all magister skills plus stealth.
Skill ranks: 4 + Int modifier.

Weapon and Armor Proficiency:* are proficient with all simple weapons, but no armor. she is also proficient with the favored weapon of her deity.

Class Feature:everything is equal to magister except noted below:
.Lose all Mystic Talent, Advanced Mystic Talent, and doesn't gain bonus feat from lvl 5, lvl 9, lvl 13 and lvl 17

.at lvl 1 gains Mystic Bond:the divine heritage and bloodline that * can select are the follow ones:
-divine heritage: chaos, demon, lust, darkness, loss, moon, night, death(or her sub types), destruction (or her sub types), evil (or her sub types), law sub types(devil, slavery, tyranny), madness (or her sub types), luck sub types(curse), plant sub types(decay), scalykind sub types(dragon), trickery (or her sub types), void, war, blood, weather sub type (storms).
-bloodline: aberrant, abyssal, accursed, daemon, draconic, infernal, oni, rakshasa, shadow, undead.

.at lvl 3 gains Arcane Bolt: as a standard action * sacrifice a spell and make a range touch to fire a bolt range 100ft.+10ft./lvl, the damage is 1D6 +(1D6 * spell level) + Cha modifier, so a lvl 20 char with 20 Charisma can fire infinite bolts for cantrips that deals 1D6+5 dmg, or by sacrificing a spell lvl 9 she can fire a bolt that deals 10D6+5 dmg.
The type of dmg it self varies with the source of your power, if you venerate a dragon like red then your dmg is fire (my fav. would be umbral), if its from devil then half is fire and half is Lawful, if its demon then half is fire and half is chaos, electrical if its rakshasa, cold if its from undead,if its daemon then half is fire and half is evil any other evil god half fire half divine.

.lvl 5 gains light armor proficiency and arcane armor training feat if she doesn't have it already.

.lvl 7 gains cursing attack: as a standard action * can sacrifice a spell and imbue the spell in to the melee weapon and make a strike against the opponent, the spell has to be non direct damaging, touch/ranged touch type and known by the caster, this action doesn't take attack of opportunity. The spell is only discharged when the attack hits, when it happens the opponent has to make a saving throw against that spell as if was as normal, only one spell can be stored at the weapon, if she she imbues a new spell it overrides the old spell in the weapon, the spell imbued in the weapon last nš of rounds = caster lvl.

.lvl 9 gains light armor: * can wear light armor without spell failure.

.lvl 11 gains cursing bolt: in a standard action * can preform the cursing attack on her arcane bolt, this will sacrifice 2 spells, the imbued spell and the spell used for the bolt, in this case the spell imbued is lost whether it hits the target or not.

.lvl 13 gains medium armor proficiency and arcane armor mastery feat if she doesn't have it already.

.lvl 15 gains combat teleport: as a move action * sacrifice a spell to instantly teleport to another place the distance is 100ft/spell lvl, this ability works otherwise like dimension door, * canīt take anyone else with her.

.lvl 17 gains medium armor: * can wear medium armor without spell failure.

.lvl 19 gains dark ascension: * gains dark vision 60ft or +60ft if she already has it. And she gets dmr 10/silver for devil, undead, rakshasa or daemon, 10/cold iron for demons, dmg reduction 10/magic for dragon or any other evil.

ok there you go my new archtype, is it too powerful and why? what should i change? anyway thx for the answers and no potato as a sry for the long post :P
