Hey. I'm new on these forums, but I've been following OOTS for quite a while. Love your smilies :smallwink:

Uhm anyway, to the point. Don't know if this has been done before, but I didn't find any threads about it here, so I thought I'd just make a new one. I've been messing around with the NWN2 Electron editor for a while, warming up for my first full-fledged module, and one of the things I did for practice was to sketch out NWN2-versions of the OOTS cast:

Now, I know Miko isn't part of the Order, but I felt the image needed more females, so that's why I chose to include her. That, and I love how the katanas look in NWN2

Hope you don't disagree too much with how I made them look. If you're interested, here are the original screenshot and a couple of close-ups (I forgot Belkar in the second close-up, but such is life). Be warned, they are rather big, and unfortunately NWN2 saves screenshot as JPG's in pretty low quality:

That is awesome! The all look ggod, especially Miko. Only Belkar does not convey the Belkar-feeling from OotS

Thanks! Yeah I'm not very happy with how Belkar turned out, but unfortunately NWN doesn't have that really thin hair Belkar has. It was the best I could do.

Yes, they all look pretty accurate. Especially V. I also like how you got the green sword for Roy.

Hahah! You're right, he does look like a bald Link. I think the problem with Belkar is that his head is naturally proportioned, whereas it's too large for his body in the actual strip. Unfortunately you can't scale individual parts of a character's body in NWN2.

As for Roy's sword, that just shows how flexible the editor is. It's a bit on the complicated side to learn to use, but once you have the hang of it, you can do a lot of things with it. Unfortunately the actual grip of the sword isn't green, because I would have to turn the blade green as well to do that.

Hehe, I've tried on a couple of occaisions to do this in the original Neverwinter Nights. I must say that NWN2 seems to work a bit better.

Though Haley's armor has an exposed midriff. And can you recreate Elan's old look (sash, cape, and chain shirt)?

I know, but NWN2 is almost aggressively T-rated, it has no exposed midriffs. At least none on outfits that still look like leather armours :smallfrown:

Why, yes. Yes I can:

Can't do away with the dagger in the sash though, and I'm afraid it goes the wrong way (it should go over his right shoulder). I only wish I could make him smile, Elan's NWN2 counterpart looks far too serious to really be Elan.

Yeaah, the close-up pictures don't look as great. But roy's serious face may fit the NWN2 style.

Ugh, tell me about it. I want blood splats for my module!

More on-topic, I think Durkon really looks Durkon. Quality.

I like these a lot, except that Elan isnt smiling stupidly in any of the pictures. Of course, that's probably not an option in the editor (I wouldnt know, I dont have NWN2), but still.

Heheh, I'm glad you guys like 'em, I think it was a decent way to waste a day off from work. You're right about the faces of course, but if there's any way to make people smile in this game, I have yet to find it.

Has anyone ever tried making them for NWN1? I know it's not as good, but it's the only one of the two I have.

Can you do Fallen Miko? Or possibly Xykon and Redcloak?

Yes! Do Xykon. Hinjo and Dorukan too.

Yes, Hinjo would fit right in!

Heya folks, this was such a fun thread that I had to pop into the Toolset and cook up my version of the Order as well! I think Jonas pretty much nailed the look of Haley and Durkon. My version of Roy (R.I.P.) uses an NPC head to give him a more distinctly African look, since that's the image I have of him in my head. As for Belkar, I tried out a somewhat fitting gnome head, and a silly mohawk for hair! Tell me what you think.

Order of the Stick (http://i142.photobucket.com/albums/r104/Elphilm/oots.jpg)

Oh, yeah, apologies for the over-sexualized Haley - that's the closest custom content clothing I could find for her! Elan and Durkon in particular seem to be entranced by her...

As a bonus, here's the remains of the Linear Guild! Unfortunately no goatee for Nale.

Haley has given me a new love of leather armor

Belkar is awesome, though Elan always seems to be the most difficult to pull off...never seen him quite as I imagine him. Also...V looks distinctly mannish.

Elphilm
2007-04-23, 10:18 PM
You're absolutely right, Elan is a tough one, and V looks a bit too masculine for my tastes as well. Which is why I made another effort!

This version of V uses the female elf model - I thought it would be fitting since the elven faces for females in the game have been heavily criticized for being too masculine.

Unfortunately I had to change the robes to something less V-like to hide the female model's chest. Didn't quite manage to pull that one off, but squint your eyes and we're halfway there.

Also, a new head for Elan that looks a bit more of a dullard.

Yeah...masculine except for the non-man parts. Elan is a bit better...still not right though.

Also, you hid Haley! Meanie!

Despite the "Power" of the NWN2 toolset.. I STILL prefer the original NWN to NWN2..

*evil grin*

Why stop with just :xykon: and :redcloak: when you can also get some :mitd:??

Xykon, Redcloak, and some MitD love. (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v327/DoNM_images/baddies.jpg)

uhh...never say that about a girl in leather if you don't want to give people dirty thoughts.

Anyway, Xykon needs evil eyeballs of +1 red glow.

Wow, these are really good guys! Keep up the good work! The "Order Reloaded" pic doesn't seem to be working, though. I'd like to see more, More, MORE!

Great job with the remains of the Linear Guild as well (Nale doesn't have a goatee back yet, I don't think).

I lurve all these efforts  shame I'm no good at character generation.

I especially love the NWN 1 efforts made- classy. Of course, there's always going to be complications with the little things, but characters like Durkon and Roy are nearly spot on.
