Lions and Tigers and Bears?

In an upcoming campaign my DM is allowing us to Gestalt our racial progression(if any) with our base class. So I've decided to go with(for racial progression) Monster of Legend/Animal X.

What animal should I choose? I'm going to take the template Arcane Servitor(Book of Templates) for Sorcerer casting and taking levels in Fighter. I'm looking for a Charger or Pouncer animal that is not a dinosaur.

Felines are the best pouncers if you don't want to use dinosaurs (which you don't) so I would go with a Tiger myself, if possible a ghost tiger from Eberron since they are even better than normal Tigers.

I don't remember exactly, but I think it is in 5 nation or the campaign setting.
