Wierd Question 2: Return of the Question

Some of you may have seen my first thread, where I asked if it was RAW legal for my cousin to Animate her stuff and use it. The interpretation we came to and used was that it was legal, as long as she took them off first, and when she put them on made herself an intelligent mount for them.

We have had a couple of sessions since then and she now has a new question. If she takes the leadership feat and uses Awaken Construct on her permanently Animated armor and items, can she take them as her Cohort and followers?

(She was apparently inspired by Beauty and the Beast.)

Oh, and her current Leadership score is 14.

I'm not sure if that would work mechanically - you'd need to figure out the level adjustment of an awakened animated object and I don't know if that was ever printed - but I really, really like the idea.
