i want to know what epic feats a DWK can qualify for before epic

(i don't care if they can meet the epic requirement or not, since my DM noted the lack of the word true from this sentence "Dragons of at least old age also can choose these feats even if they have no class levels" -Draconomicon pg66)

i'm not actually planning on playing a DWK, i'm just curious what i could do if i did (when saying a feat that is qualifiable please say the requirements, and the earliest level for qualification

thank you

additional skill-rank cheese?

i thought you couldn't get more skill ranks than your level +3... :smallconfused:

then again, it shouldn't surprise me that there's some way around it

Questionable methods that require the DM to be "malleable". Something to do with bards inspire greatness? and psychic reformation I do believe.

i'm so curious now :smallannoyed:

edit: was reading a different forum (an old one) and someone mentioned gaining ranks from a void discipline power, anyone know about this? :smallconfused:

There's a few. Something about Favored in Guild for +1 maximum is one; temporary HD gain through Inspire Greatness or polymorphing into a Dusk Giant or Barghest or the like is another if you follow it with psychic reformation before the HD go away, since loss of such temporary HD is not well-defined and does not force redistribution of skill points. And of course there's always bloodlines.

how many feats can one character have by 20th level? (no gestalt, character has to be a DWK)

i'm really curious about this now

*shrug* How long is a piece of string? Or perhaps more relevantly, how high is your cheese tolerance? There's at least one NI feat loop.

Without that, though, you can probably get somewhere in the high 30s. It would be more, but since you can't be an elf, you lose one of the easiest sources of almost half a dozen feats.

"NI" means infinite.

"NI" means infinite.

i realise, i'm curious how one would achieve it

I suspect it involves taking vow of poverty, using the dark chaos feast shuffle on the bonus feats, chaos shuffling the vow away, regaining it,and repeating.

i have considered how to use those two together before, but was half asleep while doing it :smallsigh:

OK, make that two NI feat loops. (Not sure if VoP works, but it doesn't matter.)

The other one is heroics, shuffle the gained feat, dispel or let heroics expire, repeat until satisfied.

Make that three then. I thought you were talking about shuffling away iron will from an otyugh hole. Takes time, but it's a useful thing.

so, that's one "sure-fire" method?
one slow method?
and one other method, maybe?

so, we have two (or maybe three) methods for near infinite feats

And I figured it was going to be Catalogs of Enlightenment with the War domain.

what? :smallconfused:

The Planar Touchstone feat lets you get a variety of benefits, depending on what touchstone you visit and attune to. One such touchstone is the Catalogs of Enlightenment, which gives you the granted power of a domain of your choice. The granted power of the War domain is two bonus feats, which means you can spend one feat to gain two feats. Combine with the chaos shuffle for nigh-infinite feats.

Another NI feat loop:
Swear fealty to an Elder Evil, getting one [Vile] feat for every five HD you have (+1 for level 1).
Have someone cast Embrace the Dark Chaos five times to turn those feats into [Abyssal Heritor] feats.
Have someone cast Shun the Dark Chaos to turn those feats into something more useful to you.
Stop worshiping the Elder Evil. You lose any [Vile] feats that you didn't shuffle away.
Swear worship to an Elder Evil...

This may annoy the Elder Evil, but you should be able to do this at least as many times as there are Elder Evils.

Oh, and your character WILL be Chaotic Evil. Just saying. Unless you shuffle those feats away quickly, in which case you can be any Evil alignment instead.
