I've got all sorts of critiques in mind for the game as a whole (regarding the backwards steps it took in writing quality, the characterization of Shaundi/most women in the game, my personal dislike for some of the balance changes they made) but that's not what this post is about; the adjective infuriating implies that there is some fury involved. The game wasn't infuriating per se until Kinzie Kensington and her godsforsaken escort mission (Guardian Angel) blighted a perfectly good Christmas day. I got the game for Christmas, and was perfectly fine with it until I got to this mission late in the day; I've been stuck on it ever since. Some times I get her to the car and she makes it a little ways before blowing up, but most times she just dies in a hail of gunfire before the car even pulls up. Anyone have any tips at all? I breezed through the game up until this point; it doesn't seem like a mission this early in the game should be so much harder than everything around it.

You shoot the dudes with the sniper rifle? It's not really that hard. For the section with the rocket launcher, make sure you're not shooting too near the car you're escorting, as it does take damage from your shots.

I find this critique funny.... given your user name.

The hostiles in Guardian Angel should be marked with red indicators over them. You don't have to wait for them to get out, either; that sniper rifle punches right through the windscreen and windows. And remember that you can adjust the zoom on the scope so you can zoom in for precision shots and then zoom out to get a wider look at Kinzie's situation (defaults to mouse-wheel on PC, don't know what version of the game you're playing, though).

As for Shaundi's change; it's better explained in the next game via audio logs you can find in the world after she's been rescued. She basically blames herself for
Gat's death at the beginning of 3.
