Help with Void creatures

Hello, Playground.


Soon I will be doing a campaign with the main plot being the eventual invasion of void-like creatures, and I am wondering where I would find the best collection of such. These can be creatures from any book. After some searching of 'void-like' creatures from 3.5, I couldn't find much fitting what I think of the Void (think outsider creatures from space with some awesome abilities, psionics, etc)


Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Mind flayers. and the pseudonatural template should fit quite nicely. There's more, but I need to get some breakfast before checking the books.

Depending on what you are defining as the Void there are a couple of different options.

Most aberrations can or have origins in the Far Realm. Like DeusMortuusEst had said mind flayers and pseudonatural templated creatures will work quite well if the Void is like the Far Realm.

If your Void is less Lovecraftian, I would suggest looking at the ethergaunts from Fiend Folio.

Second on ethergaunts. (Mind Flayers/Aboleths/Far Realm stuff would work great, as well, but if you've got players with any history in the game they may have too much personal history with them). Ethergaunts, though, have got a decent, if basic backstory, are plenty weird and powerful and aren't that familiar.

Excellent, that was exactly what I was looking for.

So, I know Lords of Madness is full of Far Realm creatures, and I plan on using said book frequently; are there any other books with a heavy quantity of aberrations/Far Realm creatures?
