I want to help a friend optimize her wizard a bit...
we don't want cheesy things..

Q1:
Provide me book & page for ways i can give away familiar for something more useful .
Q2:
Is there a way to have 2 school specialization?
Q3:
If i get access to "Domain Wizard", propose 1 or 2 "good" domains.

The wizard will be created as lvl2 , elf.
Her stats are: Str:10 , Dex:16 , Con:16 , Int:18 , Wis:10 , Cha:10 .
The player wants to try the "GOD wizard" and focus on buffing and a bit of battlefield control.
If go for speciality she either pick Conj or Transm. Prolly Prohibit Evo and something else..
Q4: What could/should be the other prohibited school?

Q5: Is there a site, or a book that has ALL 3,5 spells there?

Thnx for your time and answers.
Have a happy new year

unearthed arcana, not sure the page numbers, has specialist wizard varients, which include ways to give up a familiar

as far as 2 school specializations, not in 3rd edition that I know of, there is 1 in 2nd edition that I know, in wizards and rogues of the realms, allowing for a red wizard dual specialist

for prohibited schools, I usually ditch enchantment and illusions

Q1:

If you want ACFs, here's a good place to start looking (http://community.wizards.com/forum/previous-editions-character-optimization/threads/1151316#338428258). The best thing to trade it for is Immediate Magic from PHB 2 (requires specializing, and the Conjuration option is VERY cheesy and overpowered as hell). I wouldn't underestimate the familiar though, especially if you take Improved Familiar to get something capable of using wands.

Q2:
Is there a way to have 2 school specialization?

Drow Wizard and Abyssal Specialist give you the ability to "specialize" in more than one school at once, but they're probably not what you're looking for.

Q3:

The Transmutation domain is the best one by a good margin. I also like the Conjuration and Illusion domains (though I wish the illusion domain had Silent Image as its 1st level spell).

Q4: What could/should be the other prohibited school?

Enchantment and Necromancy are the standard choices.

Q5: Is there a site, or a book that has ALL 3,5 spells there?

dndtools.eu (http://dndtools.eu/) has almost all of them, not counting Dragon Magazine content.

First, a question; has this person ever played a prepared caster before? If not, might I be so bold as to suggest playing a sorcerer instead. Prep'ed casters require a fair amount of day-to-day book keeping unless you mimic a spontaneous caster by preparing the same spells over and over anyway.

A1:
Player's Handbook 2 has the immediate magic alternate class feature. You give up the familiar in exchange for a spell-like ability that can be activated as an immediate action. The specific effect is determined by the wizard's specialization.

An issue of dragon magazine (I forget which, sorry) allows the wizard to exchange his familiar and the scribe scroll feat for the ability to keep his spellbook in his head instead of on paper. The cost for inks used to scribe spells in the spellbook is replaced by an identical cost for "special incense" that allows the wizard to memorize the arcane formulae instead.

Unearthed Arcana allows a wizard to exchange the familiar for a druid's animal companion. His effective druid level for determining the animal companion's abilities is half his wizard level. This one's also available online here (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/variant/classes/variantCharacterClasses.htm#sorcererWizard)

A2:
The only way I'm aware of is the changeling wizard substitution level in races of Eberron (note that this book was intended for use in general games, not in Eberron only). This locks you into being a changeling (not so bad really) and gives you specialization in illusion and transmutation with three prohibited schools.

A3:
Not really familiar with domain wizard. Sorry.

A4:
Enchantment is the go-to prohibited school, often even before evocation.

A5:
dndtools.eu has very nearly all of them, as far as I can tell, and the database is searchable with a pretty high degree of specificity.

1. I like familiars but theres various things you can trade them for, either immediate magic from PHB2 or some of these (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/variant/classes/specialistWizardVariants.htm) trade it away

2. Not useful in this case but the only way I know is for Changeling Wizards who take the first substitution level

4. Enchantment probably, maybe necromancy.

5. I believe this (http://www.minmaxboards.com/index.php?topic=5044.0) handbook created by Captnq is meant to have all of the spells in it

Edit: Ninja'd
