An artificer can create a 7 charges/day item of Item Alteration by spending 1.4x the price of a command-word item (funny how the limit increases the price...)

This means it will cost 4 (Infusion level) * 8 (Caster Level) * 1800 (Command word activation) * 7/5 (Charges/Day) = 80640 end cost of the item. For simplicity's sake let's assume it costs the artificer around 35k to make. Any time he wants to add 7 more charges/day he can add another 35k.

Using this, an artificer with persist spell can persist item alteration by using the item and spending 6 extra charges.

Ergo, the artificer can stack a practically unlimited number of stat-boosting items by doubling the price of each one beyond the first.

Did I misread something? This is my first time looking at artificers.
