Hey having noticed that solos and elites dont seam to do what they are intended to do I came up with this new design. Tell me if its overpowered or underpowered.

Elite
HP: Double standard monster
Defenses:+2 to 2 defenses
Saves: +2
Damage: Same as a standard (See haste below)

Passive abilities
Haste: This creature takes 2 standard actions during its turn

Solo
HP: Quadruple standard monster
Defenses:+2 to 2 defenses
Saves: +5
Damage: Same as a standard (See haste and doubleact below)

Passive abilities
Haste: This creature takes 2 standard actions during its turn
Doubleact: Roll twice for initiative, the solo takes a turn on both rolls.

Recovery Actions (All Elites get one of these)
Painfull recovery: The solo takes 1/8 its max hp to remove a single status effect from it as a free action can do this as many times as it wants during its turn.
Focused recovery: As a minor the solo can attempt a save against a single effect.

This should allow elites and solos to put up a big challenge and ignore some status effects. Would it be overpowered because of the fact it is essentially 4 monsters in 1 without reducing its power when reduced by 25% of its hit points and saving 80% of the time.

Daze would reduce the solo to 2 standard actions which it can convert down to move and minor actions.

Edit: This is 4E

Edit: This should mimic those JRPG bosses which were very fast and had a load of hit points.
