I spent an obscene amount of time compiling every single cleric spell ever. Not all the details, but just:
Spell level
Name of spell
1 sentence summary given in the book's spell list.

Would this new something I could legally distribute as a handbook? I figured since the spell's description would still be needed to cast the spell, and I'm not giving that, it could be considered fair use. I'm not giving you enough information to not purchase the books, in other words, just enough to reduce the amount of flipping you do.

We aren't allowed to ask for or provide legal advice on this forum, sorry. You should consult with a copyright lawyer to answer that question, preferably one versed with things like gaming sourcebooks.

You are aware that there are several online resources which do this already.
Here's one (http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/lists/spells) we can reference, though there are better.

The Modguin: Bingo. If you need legal advice, please take it outside the forum. Thread closed.
