Hi all,

I need help calculating the attack routine of a monster I have created for an upcoming game.

He is a Spellwarped Girallon Fighter 2. His relevant stats are:

BAB +9
STR 30 (+10)
Size: Large (-1 to attacks)
Feats: Multiattack, Multiweapon Fighting, Improved Multiweapon Fighting, Weapon Focus (kukri), Improved Critical (kukri)

His full attack routine is 4 large masterwork kukris and a bite.

I'm probably quite wrong, but I figure his attack routine is 4 kukris +18/+13 (1d6+10, 15-20/x2) and a bite +14 (1d8+5).

Help?!

Cheers - T

ATTACK:
Base Attack: +9BAB +10Str -1 Large = 18
Imrproved Multiweapon Fighting with Light Masterwork weapon focus weapons: +0/-5 (-2 MW+1 Mwk+1 WF/-2 MW-5 Iteriative+1 Mwk+1 WF)
Secondary Multiattack Natural Weapon: -2 Attack

So I think your Bite attack should be +16 attack.

DAMAGE:
Only your primary weapon/arm gets full Str to damage. So only your first Kukri (+18/+13) gets +10 damage. The other 3 Kukri (+18/+13/+18/+13/+18/+13) and the Bite get +5 damage.

Multiweapon Fighting is still -2 primary/-2 offhand. So...

+18 kukri (primary#1, 1d6+10)/+18 kukri (offhand#1, 1d6+5)/+18 kukri (offhand#2, 1d6+5)/+18 kukri (offhand#3, 1d6+5)/+16 bite (secondary, 1d8+5)/+13 kukri (primary#2, 1d6+10)/+13 kukri (offhand#4, 1d6+5), +13 kukri (offhand#5, 1d6+5)/+13 kukri (offhand#6, 1d6+5)

[Edit: forgot masterwork kukris, +18/+13.]

Alrighty, let's break this down.

BAB +9 means two iterative attacks, +9 and +4. Add Str to get to +19/+14, subtract Large for +18/+13. So far so good.

The main point of confusion here is whether the -2 penalty from TWF applies to all attacks, or just iteratives and bonus attacks from TWF. The rules for TWF seem to strongly indicate the latter, so that's what I'm going with. Then your kukri attacks get -2 from MWF, +1 from Weapon Focus, for a total of +17/+12 with each of the four kukris, so +17/+17/+17/+17/+12/+12/+12/+12.

You've got the damage die and critical range on the kukris right, but only one of them gets the +10 to damage from Strength. All the others get +5 for being in the off-hand.

Provided that you're using the interpretation that the bite doesn't take TWF penalties, your calculation on the bite is correct.

Edit: Forgot Multiattack. The others are right, the bite is at +16.

Edit: And got a stray +1 somewhere. Numbers now correct.

So...

1 mwk large kukri +18/+13 (1d6+10, 15-20/x2), 3 mwk large kukris +18/+13 (1d6+5, 15-20/x2), and 1 bite +16 (1d8+5)

...that sound right?

Whoops, I forgot the Masterwork kukris.

Multiweapon fighting penalties only apply to primary and offhand attacks. You don't apply the penalty to secondary natural attacks.

You need to give this girallon Improved Unarmed Strike (primary) and armor spikes (offhand), then he'll get four secondary claw attacks in addition to the bite.
