If you pick up the magic mantle on an ardent does that let you participate in circle magic (provided you have a feat for it) and let you heighten your powers to 9th level and beyond? Then allowing you to get Psychic Chirurgery to get 9th level powers (although unable to get a high enough ml for them yet) Alternatively could you play a wizard 1/ardent 1 and since you treat magic and psionics identical your heightened wizard spells let you Psychic Chirurgery 9th level powers. I want to say that this trick works but the wording on magic mantle is kinda fuzzy and conservatively I think there is a problem here.
