Ok, in an upcoming campaign, one of my players is going to be playing a duskblade 10

and they were wondering if there were any ways to increase the size of their spell list, specifically adding spells with the water/fire/earth/air descriptors

i couldn't think of any ways to do that, so i decided to ask the playground

thank you for any and all suggestions

A level of Sand Shaper for Desert Insight, one of the Heritage feats from Dragon Magazine, or a runestaff are good ways.

The various bloodline spells from dragon compendium are great ways to add elemental spells to your spells know. Air bloodline is my fZvorite.

My favorite bloodline spell for duskblades who have some way of unlocking higher level spells (such as Magnus Veritas (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=286800), with 8th-level spells and limited capacity for 9ths, full attack channeling and +19 BAB) is Fey Bloodline, thanks to the fact that it gives you Otto's Irresistible Dance as an 8th-level spell. Full attack channeling that bad boy is just mean.

Take Arcane Disciple for the Air, Earth, Water or Fire domains?

The best way is DM fiat. Just let him add more utility and buff spell to the list.

or let him enter the Silver Pyromancer class without Turn Undead. That would give him the paladin spell list.

You could also tell him to enter Prestige Bard from UA and give him access to the bard spell list, but he will get a -2 penalty to caster level for evocation and nercomancy spell.
