To the point:

Grace is a spell that has a swift action casting time. If as a spontaneous caster I want to use a metamagic feat with it, Silent Spell for my character in question, does that still make it a full round action ergo defeating the purpose of casting Grace? I'd want it Silenced because at the tactical time I want to cast it I might be polymorphed into an animal.

The way I read it, spells that are normally a Swift (or Immediate) to cast are still a Swift to cast.

If the spell's normal casting time is a standard action, casting a metamagic version is a full-round action for a sorcerer or bard. (This isn't the same as a 1-round casting time.) The only exception is for spells modified by the Quicken Spell metamagic feat, which can be cast as normal using the feat.

For a spell with a longer casting time, it takes an extra full-round action to cast the spell.

No mention is made of Swift-action spells having to take longer to cast.

Then there's also always the option of dipping Oracle and Deaf Curse (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/classes/base-classes/oracle/oracle-curses) (unless you are already an Oracle, and yes, this DOES work for non-Oracle spells).

You could also use a Staff of the Master (Necromancy).
