Would the solemelds from incarnum violate the vow of poverty and if not would an incarnate or a totemist gain anything from it.

No and the Incarnum classes are some of the few (along with Druid) that can be playable if using vow of poverty. Not as good as they would be with items but still playable.

Nope, they mix fine. Better than fine, actually, since you get the benefits of both the Vow and items (in a way).

Yes. I have considered a Apostle build that used incarnate and marshal to make an interesting social character. It would focus on skill boosting melds and a nice marshal aura. Be a dragonblooded race and pick up the draconic auras as well.

I never ironed it out though, and it would EAT feats. Maybe with flaws in play.
