When you say readying, do you mean donning?

The mechanic was set to move actions explicitly to prevent 2-handed weapon users from being able to benefit from a shield off there turn, so I have some doubts on what you will be able to find

Just so you know, "an" is only used before a vowel sound like "an apple" otherwise you just use "a."

I'm guessing you would argue that Quickdraw or Least Crystal of Return won't work? (Shields are martial bludgeoning weapons, and while the rules may consider them different actions, there's no mechanical difference between donning a shield for defense and readying it for a bashing attack.)

The 3rd level Egoist (and Ardent) power Hustle manifests as a swift action and gives you a move action. I'm guessing that you're looking for an easier option than that though.

There's also the swift ready spell in Forge of War (p. 117), which does exactly what you want: armor, weapons, and shield appear donned/readied with a swift action.

Green Ronin's Trojan War book had a feat called Shield Swing that let you switch between having a shield and not having one as a swift action.

My paladin in a planescape game uses Quick Draw to ready his shield as a free action. Admittedly, he doesn't juggle the shield out for a weapon every round; most of the time, he's dual-wielding the shield and his sword (when he's not dual-wielding crossbows or javelins).

If your BAB is at least +1 it can be combined with a move action.
