I will be playing in a BESM game soon, and I am having trouble deciding what game attributes best represent my character's ability.

I want my character's attacks to have a shifting damage type. Like, if there is a flame nearby, the character can use a fireball-type ability, or if there's a live wire or something nearby, they can use lightning bolt, etc.

The first thing to pop to my mind was Power Flux. But then I got to thinking, and Power Flux is more like "have any kind of power you want within a specific unchanging theme" and the ability I want is more like "have a specific unchanging power or two with a constantly changing theme."

So, what would be the best way to represent this with BESM's attribute system?

There's no mechanical difference between a fireball and a lightning bolt in BESM, so it's just fluff. Just buy powers that do what you want and make them use the element of whatever is nearby.

Sorry for the random post, but I'm still kinda new at this...

What exactly is BESM and what does it mean?

Big Eyes Small Mouths. It's an Anime-style tabletop RPG.
