We all know about save-or-dies, and spells where your victim gets no save, but has a chance to survive due to spell resistance. My question is, in 3.5, are there any spells that are akin to Save or Dies/Save or Sucks, but allow no save and don't care about spell resistance?

PlzBreakMyCampaign has compiled a pretty good list on "Just suck" effects on the ol' BG boards, you should check it (http://brilliantgameologists.com/boards/index.php?topic=9207.0).

There might be a more up to date version somewhere, but yeah.

And there's the Holy Word line of spells...

Most such effects require a bit of build investment to set up, such as the work done for the UPS Man.

A lot of the time you can piggyback metamagics onto the orb of x spells in order to achieve the effects of a SoD spell, such as fell drain.

The power word:x spells are all no save, SR:no.

The power word:x spells are all no save, SR:no.

I really thought that those spells all allowed SR. Or maybe power word: pain is different, or I'm losing my mind.

All three of Stun, Blind, and Kill allow Spell Resistance.

Not only that, they're mind affecting, so very easy to become immune to.

Define "incapacitate". Is it enough to prevent your opponent from doing anything, or do you also want to retain the ability to do things to him? Because a Forcecage, for example, will take him out of the fight, but also offer him the same degree of protection from anything else you do. Most of the unconditional spells are similar to this, to varying degrees.

While not perfect you can add Bracers of Entangling Blast to any no Save No SR spell to be really mean... My favourite was Acid Fog.
