Breath Weapon Optimization

What class would be best for breath weapon optimization(aside from Generic Warrior to grab all the metabreath feats)? My race is already set as kobold as is my first level feat as dragonwrought.

Class? That...depends. Mostly on whether or not your DM lets Dragonfire Adepts use Metabreath feats without having to jump through shenanigan hoops. If yes, then congratulate yourself, and go straight Dragonfire Adept. If not...well it depends. DFA is still a good contender, especially because it gives a reliable breath weapon, but there are others that can, theoretically, get higher damage off of a single breath attack.

With the Power Surge feat DFA's can use Metabreath. My current breath weapon is derived from the Book of Templates Deluxe Edition it is useable every round so I would need a flaw for Power Surge to use Metabreath. It has a knockback effect on it which is why I like it. Damage is low, but scales until it caps at 5th with 5d4+1 splash.
