Is there any way to change a creature from "Advancement: by character class" to advancing by HD? Preferably as a(n inherited) template that can be applied to a living humanoid or Dragon.

I know that Dracolich can net you +2HD, but that's pretty much all I've got so far. There isn't any relevant template in any MM or the Draconomicon, before you ask.

As for why I'm looking for this, I noticed that Dragonwrought Kobolds can qualify as Advanced Dragons if you can find a way to increase RHD. They get Colossal at ECL 4 and Colossal+ at ECL 16, if you wonder.

...I just want to make a gigantic Kobold, alright?

That's kind of irrelevant to the thread topic, though.

Anyway, anything that accomplished this would have to know what size the creature started out as, so you'd need a template with a size restriction. That might narrow your search. I don't think there are any templates that do this, though.
