I want to learn more about the eternal war-where is the best place for me to go? Books, magazines, etc, whatever.

You might want to be more specific, but I assume you mean the Blood War, the constant conflict between the Demons and Devils of the lower planes, right?

Planescape is the place to go. Hellbound: the Blood War, Faces of Evil: the Fiends and Planes of Conflict. The first, especially.

Anything from the 2e Planescape setting should help. Hellbound: The Blood War (http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hellbound:_The_Blood_War) is probably the single best resource.

Out of curiosity, are there any playable resources, such as modules, Dragon Mag entries, or things of that sort?

You'll also find some discussion about it in the dmg, fiendish codexes and I believe there is a tiny bit about it in the manual of the planes and the book of vile darkness. Check planewalker.com if you can't find the 2e material on the topic. Afroakuma's thread is a great place to go with specific questions.
