As this book wraps up, I've got some predictions for the final pages.
This book, more than any other is about family. Haley and Elan, but also Malack and Laurin. I think the last pages will be Ian narrating a montage showing the various families we've seen/have been hinted about, at the end of which he'll reveal that he knew Geoff was the reason he kept getting caught, because sticking together is what familys are meant to do. He'll then give Geoff an ultimatum: trust Ian to dig him out of whatever hold Bozzok has over him, or be disowned.
Other possible scenes from the montage;
Elan reveal he caught some of Nale's dust, in the hopes of a res/reincarnate.
Laurin visiting her daughter, and revealing her favour; her retirement, to spend more time with her family.
Durkon feeding off Roy, and the initial awkwardness showing that Durkon isn't 100% okay with the idea.
Tarquin meeting Laurin in the desert, only to reveal that it's Sabine (since I'm pretty sure time's up on her banishment)
