Rat Infested House (warrior guild job)

[Deus Mortus]

A rather normal house in the slum, you notice some rats scurrying around.

[Amiria]

Rakhsciz stands in front of the house and looks at the rats. "Hmmm" He tries the door and, if it is open, enters the house.

[Deus Mortus]

The door opens heavily giving a loud shriek, the house itself is dark, but the sunlight shows a small living room and as you open the door, a lot of little beady eyes suddenly focus on you...

[Amiria]

Rakshsicz draws his longswords in one fluid motion and steps into the room.

[Deus Mortus]

The rats start to jump at Rakshsicz, some aiming at his face, other trying to bite his ankles, it seems like a giant wave of rats.

[Amiria]

Rakhsicz tries to ignore the distraction and the painful bites. He shakes his head, srews up his eyes and starts a whirling dance with his blades through the swarms of rats.

((7 attacks per round which only fail on a natural one; damage is around 28 points for the 4 main-hand attacks and 23 points for his off-hand sttacks, swarms take half damage from slashing weapons))

THe rats starts to fall dead all around Rakhsicz and not for long untill the room is filled with dead rats, while killing the rats, you accidently cut open the rug in the middle of the room, revealing a trap door.

Rakhsicz stops rotating and takes a look around. His breath normalizes quickly and he sees to his minor wounds. "Gah, filty rats. And this stench, I should go to a temple to see if I catched the bubonic plague or something worse." After a minute he steps to the trap door and tries to open it with one sword still in hand.

The trapdoor won't budge, it's locked with a large iron, but it seems rather rusty.

[Amiria]

Rakhsicz hacks at the iron with his adamantine sword.

[Deus Mortus]

The lock breaks in a few pieces.

[Amiria]

Rakhsicz opens the trapdoor and stares down.

[Deus Mortus]

You see a shaky wooden stairs leading down to a large hall and a door, there are some rats, but they seem to ignore you.

[Amiria]

Rakhsicz blusters down the staircase and tries to impale some slow rats.

[Deus Mortus]

The rats don't even move, they just stair at the door, even while Rakhsicz impales the, they don't even shriek.

[Amiria]

Rakhsicz tries to be silent and looks at the door, listening.

[Deus Mortus]

He hears some muffled sounds "rah...aster!"

[Amiria]

Rakhsicz decides that is time for the "kick in the door" style, literally.

[Deus Mortus]

The door cracks under your kick and a man coverred in fur faces you, he has an insane look on his face, I AM THE RATMASTER!, when you look closer you see that it isn't fur, but hundred's of rats crawling over the man's body...

[Amiria]

"Well met, I'm Rakhsicz from the warrior guild. We would greatly appreciate it if you and your rat pack move to a different place. This isn't your house and there have also been some complaints from the neighbours.", says Rakhsicz. Then he suddenly jumps at the ratmaster and tries to rend him apart with his blades.

((Two-Weapon Spring Attack + Two-Weapon Rend))

[Deus Mortus]

The man dissapears leaving behind only a large amount of rats and reappears in a corner of the room once more covered in rats, I AM THE RAT MASTER!

[Amiria]

"Who are you ?", asks Rakhsicz and starts to hack the rats around his feet into pieces.

[Deus Mortus]

The man twitches with every rat you slay, I AM THE RATMASTER!!!

[Amiria]

Rakhsicz frowns. "Sorry, can you say something else ?." He jumps again at the ratmaster and tries to slash him and all rats within reach.

[Deus Mortus]

He dissapears once more, but the pile of rats is noticably smaller this time, he reappears once more in another corner, RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAATTTMAAAAA AAAAASSTEEEEEEEEEERRRRRR! MAAAAAAAAAAAAAAASSSTEEEEEEEEEERRRAAAAAAAAAATTT!

Rakshicz hacks through the pile of rats and moves steadily towards the ratmaster, trying to attack the villain again if he doesn't evade him.

[Deus Mortus]

Once more the Ratmaster dissapears, only leaving a few rats behind, he reappears naked in a corner, RATMASTER!

[Amiria]

Rakhsicz jumps at the naked lunatic and tries to knock him out with the flat of his of his blades.

[Deus Mortus]

The man dodges and starts to transform in a half-man half-rat, it's a wererat!

[Amiria]

Rakhsicz changes the grip on his swords and tries to keep the creature in the corner. Then he tries to hit him with both blades in a deadly, scissor-like slash.

[Deus Mortus]

The two blades sink into the creatures shoulders and drive it to it's knees.

[Amiria]

Rakhsicz tries to kick the wererat in the snout while he pulls his blades free. Then he slashes again to kill creature.

[Deus Mortus]

The creature drops to the floor and dies, but as he breathes his last breath, he seems to collapse, leaving nothing behind but a large furry cape and a flute.

((The cape let's you shapshift into a rat and when you play the flute all rats will come and follow you as loyal servants as long as you play the flute))

[Amiria]

Rakshicz picks up the loot and searches the house for any remaining rats.

((Rat Invested House? That's a typo, unless the rats are actually giving the house money, in the hopes that they'll get intereset on the gold later. I hope not. Then we'll have filthy rich rats in Town. :smalleek: ))

(Doesn't that kind of defeat the purpose of an ascetic monk? Even if you don't take the VoP the monk class is built off of the classical Buddhist monk stereotype...)

((He doesn't spend a lot of gold, he sleeps on the streets. He ussually gives it to the poor. But he has built up a good amount of gp.))

You search the house but all the rats seem to have run away with their master gone, you should return to the guild to get your reward....
