View Full Version : A question about Celia

Hey all, I'm actually kind of curious about something, and wonder if maybe there's a contradiction when it comes to D&D rule terms and Celia.

Celia mentions that she is an outsider more than once, and cannot be raised from the dead. But she needs to sleep (we saw Haley had awoken her up when she was summoned), and she goes out to eat with Roy. That would make her need to have the native subtype, but those can be raised from the dead.

Has anyone else noticed this? Is this a contradiction, or did I miss something.

Outsiders breathe, but do not need to eat or sleep (although they can do so if they wish).

So maybe Celia just wanted to eat and sleep?

Celia, like the goblins, is also too large for her species compared to what 3.5 says, so it's just another case of the Giant playing a bit loose with the various fantasy race traits. Her eating is a just a nice way of making a bonding scene with Roy, while Outsiders not being raise-able is a more dramatic plot point.
