Huh, I was just thinking...if we end up seeing Trigak the Chimera sometime before the end of the story?

Let's see... it was horribly murdered and then blown to bits with the Dungeon of Dorukan and buried under a pile of scorched stones.

No, it is not really likely that we will see Trigak.

Trigak. Hmm. I think the Giant has made pretty clear how he'll return, for anyone who wants to follow the clues.

Trigak died in his first appearance. If we run Trigak's name through Haley's word scrambler from 247 (the first appearance of her Aphasia), we get

Cao*mp, where the * represents either a J, Q, or X.

Of those, X is the third letter that appears in the alphabet.

So we get Caoxmp. Googling Caoxmp and going to the third google search tab, images, primarily yields images of documents concerning the tobacco industry. The third section on Wikipedia's Tobacco Industry page is Industry Outlook in the United States, which prominently features this (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Smoking_Dangers_-_1905_new.png) image.

The image discusses Wisconsin, Nebraska, and Indiana. Or WI, NE, and IN.

Trigak will reappear in wine? That doesn't seem to make a lot of sense, until we remember that, as Alcaeus tells is, In Vino Veritas. In wine there is truth.

Trigak will reappear with the truth. Now what's the most important truth? What's up with the Snarl. Trigak will reappear when the truth about the Snarl becomes known.

The truth is that since chimeras are primarily the result of gods bickering over how some other hypothetical monster ought to look, Trigak is in fact The Son Of The Snarl!

Perhaps he'll have something to do with Laurin's favour!
Although according to the people over in the Laurin's favour thread, that means she'll possibly want to marry him...
Shame he's in a committed relationship, he'd probably make a great stepdad for Hannah, too.
Especially if you're one of us rare few over in the thread in my sig.

Well, we have a whole thread about Trigak being disguised as Durkon the entire time, why couldn't he have been the Guy with a halberd? Or both?

Someone should make a Trigak facts thread.

Trigak is actually Haley's mother who used a potion of glibness to convince everybody she was actually a Chimera and was killed when she simply walked out of the dungeon.

OK, so Trigak has been dead and buried for almost ten years (real time). So why is it that we have several (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=320513) distinct (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=326558) threads by people who "just had this thought" within, like, half a dozen updates?

What's suddenly sparked this round of remembering? Is there some cultural reference that I'm not getting?

The dragon has three heads? ASOIAF connection?

Joking aside, what happened is that one person had the idea, and since we all secretly kind of liked Trigak returning because of the seemingly (but not really) wasted potential of his premature death, it brought the idea of his return back into the forefront of our minds, inspiring more of us to make threads about him.

Trigak is prominently featured on the front page (in the ad for the calendar). So maybe it's a subconscious thing.

Also: The current book is, to quote, a bottomless pit of self-reference.

Hmmm. If this happens, will V end up in a rocking, curled up ball in the corner?

Aside from that, the Order is heading towards a dungeon guarded by an army of monsters. It could be that Trigak's significant other(s) work/live there...
