Hey all! I was first attracted to this site by a pretty groovy play-by-post game, Gathering of Mists. (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=244397)

Needless to say, I became hooked on the characters and the storyline. I drew some fanart of the main four last November, and I'll probably be drawing more fanart for it, so I'm just gonna tuck this thread in here to collect it.

So far, we have:

Charlotte

Rose

and last, but certainly not least, Marchande

Since then, I've explored the site a bit more (read Order of the Stick all the way to the most recent page >w>). I'm looking forward to engaging with the community. ^u^ Let me know what you think!

Very nice, I particularly like the detail in the third.
Alas, it is late, so I can't comment very much, but I do like the way you work your signature in. Further, a couple of things in the last picture bug me... First, I'm not really sure if that is a comfortable way to hold a wine glass, I half expect her to drop it or spill it or something. Second, I'm not really sure what's going on behind her. Is it supposed to be a spirit companion? Or a shadow that shows her true self or something?

Thank you kindly. In regards to the last picture, yes, it's an odd version of a hand holding a wine glass by the cup rather than the stem. When I drew it, I actually had a reference for the hand, but I can't find the picture now. (D'oh.) In any case, I think you're right-didn't notice that before. It looks rather awkward. >w>"
The creature behind her relates to her story in the game. To sum up, she's actually a human who was turned into a dog who tried to become human again and the final result was more anthropomorphic than it was human. She's very self-conscious of her canine attributes, including her face (which is still the head of a dog), and she's frustrated with her tendency to act like a dog (snarling, wagging her tail, being too obedient). She wears a suit that is made of moonlight, and psychologically depends upon it as a symbol of her humanity. Dogs don't wear suits, after all.
I depicted her human appearance foremost, since that is what she desires most, and the canine in her lingers in the background, ever-present. She became a wine saleswoman because being a businesswoman is refined and human. I tried to incorporate the basic essence of Marchande in there as much as I could.

Thank you for commenting! :)

The one thing that bugs me with these is that Charlotte's shoulder/hip proportions are off. Wasp waist is a terrible curse. Still, the Marchande picture is a triumph conceptually, I really adore that one.

Oof, yeah. That's a combination of disproportion and inability to draw thick sweaters, eheh. Also, I don't think I decided whether to have her left (right to the viewer) arm forward or behind, so there's that. I'll admit Charlotte is more of a "?" in my mind. owo"

Thank you very much! I'm rather satisfied with how Marchy turned out, which is quite unusual for me.

There's the possibility that I'm going to transfer and color it. ^^

Do it. I considered doing it myself, even.
