Stacking uses of wild shape...

My Druid has the elephant hide feat. If I wild shape into an animal can I use a second use of wild shape to enact the elephant hide on the animal form? Would it work in the reversed order?

I think it would work if you start as an animal, but wouldn't work if you start with the hide, because it sets your AC instead of giving you a bonus, and so does wild shape, so whichever one you do last would take precedence. Almost certainly not worth it though, cause wild shape forms usually sport pretty high AC's. Even in core, at large you're talking about dire bats with 5 natural armor, polar bears with the same, and dire bears with 7. You'd be talking about a couple of AC at most, and probably not even that outside of core. Wild feats are always disappointing like that.
