Have a friend that is playing straight rogue. They aren't too experienced at 3.5 but they would like to try to find ways to add bleed effects to their attacks.

Also a question they had. Poison use. The ninja and assassin classes have specific mentions to it. What about the traditional core rogue

There are also a bunch of "add on" effects that can be gained via feats that involve sacrificing SA dice. From ongoing damage, to movement penalties, etc.

Not sure all the sources they're found in as they're in various books.

Rogue does not get poison use, but you can grab it via a feat: Master of Poisons (Drow of the Underdark p.51).

You can also get it via race: Jungle Halfling (UA) or Poison Dusk Lizardfolk (MM3).

Note that "poison use" just means you don't risk poisoning yourself when you poison a blade. If you're willing to accept that risk, anybody can use poisons.

There's a wapon style feat, I believe called Wind and Fire, that causes a creature you hit with two cutting disks in the same round to bleed for 1 damage each round and the effect stacks.

Are they set on playing straight rougue, or do they just not know what would be good to multiclass into? I know that Invisible Blade prestige class lets you inflict bleeding wounds. It also lets you add int to AC while unarmored and you get feint as a free action, and take 10 on it.
