[PF] Share Spells and magic item interaction

So the Share Spells ability (specifically for the Summoner's Eidolon) says


A summoner may cast spells on his eidolon even if the spells normally do not affect creatures of the eidolon’s type (outsider).

Now what about magic items?

If I made a custom magic item myself (say, an item of reduce person) would it function for the eidolon as I cast the spell during construction? What if I purchased one from MagicMart?

If the magic item is a spell completion item I would say it would work. But creating a wondrous item with a permanent effect wouldn't work even if the creation required a spell that would normally effect the eidelon.
