Of all the classes in the Dragon Compendium this is the only one that really captures my interest for having a cool concept and a unique class feature in the Skill Assistance thing they do. That said I'm not sure how well they'd work in the game itself, so I wanted to ask a few opinion questions on them:
What Tier would you place the Savant at?
Where does it shine?
What are its shortcomings?
Under what circumstance would you recommend one?
