Hi guys and girls I am new to dnd and am interested in the warblade class, but of course like all noobs I have a few questions.

I was just wondering, when cross classing martial adept and a regular melee class (eg barbarian1/fighter6/warblade1). In the example I stated I want to take warblade at level 8, what I would like to know is what is my martial adept level, what level of manuevers/stances am I capable of learning and how many manuevers and stances do I know.

Your initiator level is equal to half your non-adept levels + your adept levels, so in the example below it would be 4, allowing you to take 2nd level maneuvres (but you must still meet the preqs). You do not get any extra maneyvres known or readied however, so its still the same as a 1st level warblade, 3 maneuvres known, you can ready 3, and you have 1 stance. A stance counts as a maneuvre for the purpose of meeting preqs.

Some quick guidelines:
- don't take more than 2 Fighter levels, and only if you really need the feats.
- generally, multiclass as little as possible.
- keep in mind that maneuvers are, one by one, better than most feats - and Adepts get more maneuvers than Fighters get feats. Nuff said.

Warblade (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=176968) Handbooks (http://www.minmaxboards.com/index.php?topic=8715.0)

2 levels of Barbarian is a decent dip for Warblade. Look into the Spirit Totem: Lion ACF (CC) for the first level and the Wolf Totem ACF (UA) for the second level.
