Sometimes, Totemists will revel too deeply in their connection to the Incarnum of beasts; they'll draw too deeply, and break themselves. A damn shame, it is.
Becoming a Shattered Totem
A Shattered Totem is either a Totemist that grabbed a little bit of Husk (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=320653) action, or a Husk (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=320653) that picked up a little bit of Incarnum manipulation.
Entry Requirements
Skills: Knowledge (Nature) 8 ranks, Spellcraft 4 ranks
Class Features: Nature's Blessing
Special: Must be able to bind soulmelds to the Totem Chakra.
Class Skills:
A Shattered Totem's class skills (and associated ability scores) are Climb (Str), Concentration (Con), Craft (Int), Handle Animal (Cha), Heal (Wis), Hide (Dex), Jump (Str), Knowledge (arcane/nature) (Int), Listen (Wis), Move Silently (Dex), Profession (Wis), Ride (Dex), Spellcraft (Int), Spot (Wis), Survival (Wis), and Swim (Str).

Weapon and Armor Proficiencies: Shattered Totems gain no new weapon or armor proficiencies.
Meldshaping: At each Shattered Totem level except 1st and 6th, they increase their meldshaper level, the number of soulmelds they can shape, the number of chakra binds they can create, and their essentia pool as if they had gained a level in the meldshaping class to which they belonged prior to gaining the totem rager level. They do not, however, gain any other abilities of that class, such as new tiers of chakra binds. If they had more than one meldshaping class before becoming a Shattered Totem, they must decide to which class to add each level for the purpose of determining their essentia pool, meldshaper level, and the number of soulmelds and chakra binds available.
Packages: At 4th level, and every 2 levels thereafter, a Shattered Totem learns an additional Package.
Totemic Shifting (Ex): A Shattered Totem's shapeshifting glimmers with the entire spectrum of Incarnum, from midnight blue veins to azure-tipped fur.
A Shattered Totem fully integrates their Totem Chakra with their ability to Shapeshift; as long as they are Shapeshifted, soulmelds bound to their Totem Chakra cannot be dispelled, as they grow over the Incarnum scaffolding of the soulmeld.
At 4th level, this integration is extended further; as long as they are Shapeshifted, soulmelds bound to their Totem chakra do not count towards the number of soulmelds they may have bound at one time. In addition, while Shapeshifted, they gain additional Essentia equal to the number of Packages included in the Shapeshift, which may only be invested into soulmelds bound to the Totem chakra.
At 7th level, as long as the Shattered Totem is Shapeshifted, they may bind two soulmelds to their Totem chakra. If they end their Shapeshift while two soulmelds are bound to their Totem chakra, they choose which soulmeld is forcibly unbound from the chakra.
Shapeshift (Ex and Su): Shattered Totem levels stack with Husk levels for the purposes of the Shapeshift class feature.
Chakra Package (Su): It is a shame that most being are restricted to a single chakra pattern; how restricting it must be, only having one heart!
At 2nd level, the Shattered Totem gains a unique Package; as long as this Package is included in a Shapeshift, they either open a specific Chakra or gain a second copy. This mutable Chakra only lasts as long as the Shapeshift, and comes about due to the physical alterations inherent in their alternate form.
The additional Chakra has a direct visual effect on the form taken; one with an additional Feet chakra might be a quadruped, while an additional Waist chakra might have an elongated hip.
The Shattered Totem is restricted in which Chakras they may clone or open through these means; initially, they may only use this Package to replicate the Feet, Hands, and Throat chakra.
At 5th level, they may duplicate the Arms, Brow, or Legs chakras; at 8th level, they may duplicate the Waist or Shoulders chakras.
Enhancements (Ex): At 3rd level, and again at 7th level, the Shattered Totem gains Enhancements as per the Husk class feature.
Expansions of the Shamanic Form (Ex): A Shattered Totem is constantly learning how to try to be whole again; these are their first stumbling steps.
At 6th level, a Shattered Totem may reinvest their Essentia as part of the same action as Shapeshifting.
Thousandfold Spirit (Su): Sometimes, a broken thing has some useful capabilities that might be lost if it was fixed.
At 9th level, whenever the Shattered Totem Shapeshifts, they add 1 to the Essentia capacity of all of their soulmelds for the duration of the Shapeshift. In addition, the number of temporary Essentia granted by Totemic Shapeshift increases by 1, and it may be invested into any of their Soulmelds.
Cthonic Baara (Su): What a marvelous achievement; to cast aside the mundanities of function to embrace form!
At 10th level, the Shattered Totem gains a second copy of the Feet, Hands, and Throat chakras whenever they Shapeshift. In addition, they may include any number of copies of the Chakra Package granted by this class in a Shapeshift.
