I know the monk is often regarded as being a badly built pc but killing stuff with fist is always fun.

Whats the Most powerful level 20 fist fighter you can make?

The most powerful level 20 fist fighter is probably either a Barbarian with a variety of class features, a Tashalatora Psychic Warrior, an Unarmed Swordsage, or maybe a Warforged Monk.

You should never go Monk 20, though. Even Monk 19 is better than Monk 20.

druid is likely going to be the base class.

Probably Kung-Fu Genius Invisible Fist Decisive Strike Martial Monk 2/Factotum 8/Rogue1/Swordsage1/Swashbuckler 3, pretty much the generic Tippy build but fighting with its fists.

For just optimized martial artist in a can, Tashalatora Monk 2 (with as many of the ACFs as you can let your DM give, including martial monk)/Psywar 18 is a hell of a fist fighter. Monk 2/Divine Caster 8/Sacred Fist 10 isn't bad. Unarmed Swordsage 20 is good as well, and Unarmed SS 1/Wu Jen 4/Jade Phoenix Mage 10/Abjurant Champion 5 is a pretty solid unarmed Gish iirc (although there's probably a better way to build it than what I'm describing).

Google Tippy's Terribly Terrific Trial, I think it was. That was a challenge issued by Tippy for people to build a "mainly monk" that was strong enough to solo all of the Elder Evils one at a time (along with the prelim encounters leading up to the boss fights). The submissions were awesome.

I second Phelix-Mu's suggestion. There were two in particular by Rubik and Shaikujin that stood out, from memory.

The best is probably a spell to power Erudite. Easy access to heroics, and psychic warrior powers. Not to mention general wizard shenanigans and general psion shenanigans. Probably gonna be able to blow anything else out of the water, including at Kung fu.

Edit: maybe an ardent/ ur priest sublime chord actually. Insane manifested level for manifesting seer combat powers plus heroics plus cleric buffs probably wins.

Did they ever come up with the gallery collecting the finalized submissions? I suggested they have one, because that thread was quite long, and 90% of it was questions and revisions to the submissions.

I call Upon Rubik with his 17/3 Monk that can solo all the Elder Evils.

Even a non-fully op'd martial artist can be pretty effective. I had a...I think it was Int-Based Monk 14/Wiz1/Abjurant Champion5. Abrupt Jaunt, Sun School, wraithstrike, and greater mighty wallop can deal a pretty stupid amount of damage with the right CL-boosting/UMD scrolls/continuous items. With greater luminous armour, the monk will be pretty untouchable, and with the right ACFs, you can milk the build a bit more.

So, even without much effort, you can pretty much wax most of the MM in solo combat.

But this really doesn't even touch the acrobatics that Shaikujin, Rubik, and others were pulling during the Trial. Now that was impressive.

Not to my knowledge. The trial just kind died out after Tippy stopped posting in it, albeit taking a long time to do so.
It was huge. A lot of interest garnered and really exciting to see the mass amount of BS people can pull out of a supposedly worthless class.
