I'm going to begin building a Tibbut Assassin and I would like some help for choosing feats for my new character. Overall, I want him to be good at poisoning people, and good with explosives.

Are you playing 3.5 or Pathfinder? Because if Pathfinder then the Alchemist, with one or two archetypes, sounds perfect.

I'm playing 3.5, and my DM is trying to make it harder for us to survive. (Like back in v2.)

There isn't much support for explosives/firearms in 3.5, so you might struggle to do everything you want.

Perhaps an Arcane Trickster build? Sneak attack damage progression which you can add to your attack based spells. Also you can throw fireballs around instead of having actual explosives!

What kind of Assassin are you going for?

How about a scout with a few ranks in alchemy so he can supply his own poison/alchemist flasks?

Alternatively a rogue, depending on what your DM thinks of Precision damage with splash weapons and how many times one can apply precision damage in one round.

And if you're going into the actual assassin PrC don't forget their spells. the Spell compendium will have some gems for you to pick from on that front.

Edit: Darkstalker is a must have for a stealthy type. IN fact Drow of the Underdark has a couple of feats that are worth having a look at.

Edit 2: Maybe even look into some master thrower levels if you find yourself skirmishing and hurling alchemical bombs/poisons a lot.
