The life in the Hidden Leaf Village has been relatively tame. A few missions you had outside the village were not that impressive, and you never got to see what was going on outside. You didn't really expect that to change anytime soon, so you were very surprised when Lady Yamanaka said you were going on a mission far beyond the village walls. She didn't say much, but she did remind you to pack some warm clothing. She also said you should take anything you might need for a long journey, you probably won't be coming back soon.
Your orders were to be at the front gate at the dawn, that way no one can see you leaving. Experienced ninja can determine how far you are going just by looking at your supplies, and as far as anyone knows you will be back in a few days. What surprised you the most is the fact the you will be traveling alone, there will be no instructor to follow you. You were given a map, but your destination will be marked right before you leave. It seams like someone was paranoid, but what scares you the most it that this precautions might actually be necessary. And now, as the first rays of sun start to appear you wait at the gate for further instructions.
