nestled in an indent on the northern face of the mountains looms Mounthaven, or the City of Stone. It has three concentric walls, and a full complement of troops, plus more.

A group of goblin spies take a look at the city, and set up a hidden observation post in the wilderness.

The dwarven sentries do not see it, and a man, clad in black, walks throught the pitch black forest under the tree line.

A single Retriever stands above the city, staring down into it. It somehow manages to remain hidden, and to the observant eye, only appears to be a very large rock. It observes the city and it's defenses before walking away from the cliff face.

At the base of the mountain, the Imperial Army of Aszarkia stands ready to crush the dwarves. At the helm of the 200,000 strong army is Xerillum, and there are twenty trebuchets.

The trebuchets fire, blasting holes in the outer wall. The army advances, taking strategic positions in the dunes. A report of rifle fire blasts and kill a few troops. The army forms a semicircle around the castle, and shoot down the gunners. Three airships fire cannons and harpoons to take down the dwarven recon, eliminating their contact with the outside world.

The goblin emissary dismounts and bows respectfully.

Greetings, glorious general. It is with great regard that we welcome you to our homeland. You have proven well your capacity for the defeat of the dwarven invaders, and for this we are greatful.

This having been said, we wish to know your intents and purposes in your visit to these lands. As you may or may not be aware, these lands are currently under the disputed claim of the Free Federation of Goblin States, which is currently engaged in a war of reconquest of invaded goblinoid lands from foreign invaders. Your military presence comes as a surprise to us, and we wish to know you long-term plans involving these lands, and whether you support or oppose the Federation's claim to this land.

We also desire to know more about the land from which you are from, so that we may better seek a peaceful existance with such a land.

I will establish a small colony, with intent to serve as a trading outpost. these dwarves had set up a chokepoint against my country, Aszarkia.

The goblin emmisary requests that Xerillium waits a moment, and returns to his awaiting forces, where he speaks with a strange, possibly psionic goblin for a time, then returns.

The council is in agreement. You may set up your post here, with a small garrison of warriors not to exceed 1,000. You shall not be harrassed by our soldiers or tribesmen, and we shall encourage trade with you.

In return, we ask that you recognize the goblin claim to their contested lands, and that you do no seek to control these lands, nor strike out militaryily against the goblin nation.

The goblin when hearing the news of the dwarves in the woods, grins, and goes back to his troops, who mobilize quickly to get to the battle.
