 Hi, and welcome to The Sticks Awards!

:smallamused: The Sticks Awards are given to the best strips of all times, chosen by the polls here in the Playground. Each poll will have a group of 10 comics, chronologically chosen, and every hundred strips we'll have a "Best of the Hundred" poll, with the most voted strip of each previous poll.

:smallcool: Each poll will have the duration of a week. Voters can only pick one choice. Links are provided for people to re-read the comics. This week's poll features comics #111 to #120.

:smallwink: If you have any suggestions or comments, feel free to comment on this thread.

Argh tough choice, 111, 114, or 116. Hmm.

I'll go with 111. Just for the last panel.

By the way, has anyone ever thanked you for doing all these polls? If not I'd like to thank you now, I love the Stick Awards.

There's no contest here for me. The last panel of #112 is the single Greatest Xykon Moment Ever:

"You ready?"
"I was born ready!"
"Great. Me first."
SHATTER!

Simply brilliant, and one of my favourite moments of the entire strip. I had to vote for it.

#120 does have a nice montage, though...

I was torn between 111 and 113 , but 113 won out because of
"Bolster undead"
"Turn Undead"
"Stab Undead"

Does it make me some kind of sicko psychopath because I find this hilarious?

:redcloak: We'll stop at the next village and get you a kids meal.
:mitd: Will it have a toy?
:redcloak: No, but it will have real kids.

Nice introduction line in #120: "My blades will be bathed in the blood of those responsible". Just makes you go - there is a Lawful Good person in there somewhere.

I'll go with 115. Any time Belkar gets the closing panel, it is liable to be funny. 111 gets second, because while non-verbal, it is also a nice Belkar moment.

Gaah! 111 or 116? 111 OR 116????

#111.

113. Certainly not the funniest, but the first real example of Rich's ability to do really good dramatic atorytelling.

#115 - We get a sweet Elan-Haley moment, one of Durkon's really funny moments, and some classic Belkar. Plus, Dust in the Wind is a frickin' amazing song.

113.
Broken sword.
Everything's going to hell.
Memory montage.
Roy gets angry.

The suspense could kill.

Simply a marvelous strip.

:xykon: You, sir, have a serious problem with overreaction.

:xykon: Great. Me first. *shatter*

112 it is. Though 113 was a contender too. And the last one - we had OOTS, Team Xykon, Linear Guild and Miko all in one comic! Fun.

Yes. Although that's the same reason (the final straw, as it were) that I voted for that one too.

I love 119, 111 and 116.... but I chose 119 in the end. It's just Elan going "Just like a Vin Diesel Movie!" which always makes me laugh.

This was a tough decision....

4 way split. Ack. And the next batch is going to be hard to decide too - there are many classic moments, when Giant got a chance to star poking fun at towns and villages and not just the dungeon.

Still a three way tie.

If this does not change, perhaps a three-way poll that only runs for say a day?

#120 - The End of the Beginning. Maybe it wasn't the funniest, but I think it represents possibly the whole 100 comics, and definitely these ten. Not that I'm looking for the end of every story arc, but this had a couple jokes and some good foreshadowing.

Should've voted for 114 and 115, to make it a 4-way tie again. :smalltongue:

I'm a big fan of Exciting Climaxes. But all the comics in this batch were good, so my choice came with a grain of salt. I could have easily voted for any of the favorites.

I'll go with you on #120 allthough 117 was just hilarous.

Now #120 is maybe not working as it worked when I didn't know what will happen and who is that bluecloaked guy:smallwink:
