So in MMII p.170 there's this race. And it can be used as a PC race at +1LA.
In this post:
http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=189980

It's determined that the stat bonuses is +2str, +2dex, +2wis, -2cha, now I know it's got something to do with monster array and I sorta understand that (well probably not) but I don't quite understand it's those 4 abilities effected.
Can someone explain it to me?

Thanks in advance!

For creatures with less than 4HD whose array isn't specified (some will say in the statblock what the array was before the racial modifiers), you simply subtract 10 from each even ability score, 11 from each odd one, because creatures by default start with an array of three 11s and three 10s, to which the racial modifiers are added.

Str: 13 - 11 = +2
Dex: 12 - 10 = +2
Con: 10 - 10 = 0
Int: 10 - 10 = 0
Wis: 13 - 11 = +2
Cha: 9 - 11 = -2

I think I get it.

Normally, 1st level humanoids have the focused array, that is 13, 12, 11, 10, 9, 8 distributed on the abilities. With the focused array you generally can't reverse engineer the ability bonuses without knowing the underlying distribution.

But Zenythri aren't represented as 1st level somethings. They are just outsiders with 1 HD. So they use the standard array like everything else. And with the standard array you can extract the racial ability modifiers by subtracting 11 from uneven scores and 10 from even ones.

Zenythri have Str 13, Dex 12, Con 10, Int 10, Wis 13, Cha 9.
That results in Str 13 - 11 = +2 Str, Dex 12 - 10 = +2 Dex, Con 10 - 10 = +0 Con, Int 10 - 10 = +0 Int, Wis 13 - 11 = Wis +2, Cha - 11 = -2 Cha
