No, not the publication or chronological order, but the physical one.
Random question: for those who have the books, how do you arrange them? I at first put them as D / -1 / 0 / 1 and on, but now arrange them in publication order

Okay, I can see that -1/0/1... probably means Start of Darkness, On the Origin of PCs, Dungeon Crawlin' Fools and so on, but what is "D"?

Snips Snails and Dragon Tails has "D" for the number, since it includes the Dragon Magazine strips.

-1/0/1/2/3/4/D are the spine numbers of the books (SoD/OtOoPCs/DCF/NCftPB/WaXPs/DStP/SSaDT respectively).

Imo arranging -1 to 4 any other way doesn't makes sense. The real question is where to put D. I do it at the end right now (where it probably will stay until hopefully book K gets sorted after it :smallwink:)

"D" goes between 4 & 5 because of all of the Stick Tales that are told in that gap. :smalltongue:

D, -1, 0, ...

D "does not belong", but has to go somewhere, so I put it to the left, before the actual line begins.

I'm another D, -1, 0, 1... . I'll always put the numbered ones in order, so then it just becomes a choice of where to put the non-numbered one; in this case, I chose the left because the D book is quite thin and looks better (IMHO) next to the lower-numbered books, which are also thinner ones.

Where will you put 5? Before or after D?

0,1,2,3,4,D. I love Start of Darkness so much that it rarely gets to join its fellow books. In fact, it has graced my bedside table for the past few months, and I don't see any reason to put it back. It is fantastic, not just for Order of the Stick, not just for comic books in general but as a book. I've read many, many books that failed to get the response from me that goodbye brother did and they all came far more highly recommended than SoD.

After D. Because D has a scene that takes place between 4 and 5.

D/-1/0/1/2/3/4/6

6? :smallconfused:

Anyway, I put -1/0/1/2/3/4/D. I agree with Porthos, that D should be placed between 4 and 5, due to some of the content in D being told at after book 4.

Also, I wonder what the Kickstarter content book will be labeled. K? :smalltongue:

Honestly I think I will put book 5 between 4 and D.

Yes, there is an argument to made that it happens between 4 and 5 from the main comic. But on the same way it is possible to put it probably between -1 and 0 (because I think that is the best time frame for Julio Scoundrél) or in another shelf (best analogy to alternate reality, e.g 4e!Order / Dragon strips).

Since I only have one copy, and therefore can't implement all those restrictions (and I'm definitely not tearing it in multiple parts), I'm choosing a fair compromise in not using any of these positions :smalltongue:

And since I luckily have two coloring books, I have one at the beginning, and the other at the end

If Rich does a book collecting the Kickstarter stories, I think that K would make the most sense (or at least I would like it that way).

so sorting in the future book 5 and a hypothetical book K, I would go coloring book/-1/0/1/2/3/4/5/D/K/coloring book :smallwink:
