My draconic sorcerer often makes use of a few invisibility spells. Lately, I've been thinking of ways I could trick characters who can see invisibility.
I'm wondering if the "silent image" spell and its higher forms could be used to create an illusion of a subject with the invisibility descriptor?
As such, my sorc. could create an invisible decoy of himself. None except those with see invisibility would see the image. And said people, after failing their will saves to disbelieve, would possibly be fooled into focusing on the decoy and not my REAL invisible PC, who would be trying his best to sneak around undetected.
But that's all in theory; I just want to know if the spells could create an image like this.
